Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Whale watching – Brilliance of the Seas, Day 12 – April 14, 2023

Shore excursion whale watching. The weather was not to great, overcast and windy. Brilliance of the Seas was the third ship to arrive and anchor at Cabo. That means we are the furthest ship from the jetty since we were using our own tenders which took longer getting to the jetty.

We saw a few whales. The whales were not very close to us even though we chased them, the whales were all ways a step ahead of us. Therefore, some of the photos of the whales are not not very good. Did we get wet, we sure did as we were in a speed boat. The video is of a mum and a juvenile.

Today (April 15th) is the end of the whale watching season here so we were lucky to see anything. The whales are heading to Argentina.

The last photo is from a coffee shop we visited for a lunch sandwich.
“Unattended Children will be Given an Espresso and FREE Puppy” 🤣

You can buy anything from the pharmacy’s here. See the pen-alternate photo.

Whale watching in Cabo San Lucas.

Today, Day 13 was a sea day.

Not a lot to report today except the weather is getting cooler. There are a few people that have bowel problems (Read between the lines) and they are doing enhanced cleaning. From lunchtime today the staff were serving food in the windjammer. The captain has been very upfront about this during the Captains Corner today and during his daily updates.

Washee Washee….

I took the two photos below when the sun was high in the clouds about 5:30 pm just as we were going to dinner. This ship is the Disney Wonder. We had been tracking her most of the day but eventually caught her up.

The third image is from the Cruise Mapper app where you can track any cruise ship down.

Tomorrow, Day 14 will be in Ensenada, Mexico.

We have a Mexican Craft Beer and Authentic Cantina Experience tour scheduled and the temperature will be in the mod 50’s!
