Covid
Yes, we had to check out the medical facilities onboard. Karen woke up with a cold on day 2, then used a PCR test which was positive! We both had to go to medical, where we were both tested. This test confirmed that Karen was positive and had to quarantine for 5 days. My test was negative, therefore do not have to quarantine and can move around wearing a mask, and social distancing. Karen is feeling much better. Tomorrow should be the last quarantine day. Currently, I have no symptoms 🤞 and I am sure we will both be tested tomorrow, day 6 of this cruise.
I’m feeling much better now on day 4 1/2. Not the best cabin size to be quarantined in but I’ll survive till tomorrow for sure. Graham has done a great job as my hunter/gatherer and kept me happy with coffee in the morning and other treats during the day. Hoping we got this bump in the road out of the way.
Hopefully, this is the only run-in with Covid we have.
Roughers
Day two of our 12-night Caribbean cruise after leaving Baltimore saw the sick bags appear on the stairs! It was a little choppy for individuals without sea legs.
St Croix – Day 5
We arrived at our first stop today, Frederiksted, St Croix. The sun is out, and it’s a beautiful day.
