Transatlantic Cruise

We are heading back to the US as mentioned before. We left Southampton the 15th October on Anthem of the Seas. It’s the 6th time we have been on this ship this year. I normally post updates from my MAC but the technology on this ship is been limiting even though we have Starlink! This quick update is from my iPad while at Santa Cruz, Tenerife. When we get on dry land I will update the posts.

While at sea, especially at night it was a head wind and experienced flying fish on a balcony (not ours) and a bird, exhausted taking refuge. As an example we were doing 18 kns into a 30 kns head wind. We had an upgrade to a restricted view balcony cabin, deck 7, directly below the bridge. However we have a bulkhead to the cabin next door. Therefore the wind has nowhere to go and rattles the balcony door which whistles with wind.

We are now in Tenerife and the wind has died with a calm sea. We have five sea days before we get to Bermuda where we have a beach day and sunset rum cruise scheduled which we are looking forward too.

  1. Hope you have smooth sailing over the next few days!
Can’t wait to see you both when you get back to the States!!🥰🥰

    1. Hopefully it will be smooth as we are diverting to Halifax, Nova Scotia to avoid Hurrican Tommy that is heading to Bermuda. We look forward to seeing you next week sometime.
